Ritmo Latino. Cultural, entertaining radio show, the only one on the fm band of Thessaloniki – Greece that is related with the Latin American music.

Transmission takes place every Wendesday 5 – 7 in the afternoon from radio Flash 99.4 and is repeated on Friday, the same hour.

Ritmo Latino’s favorites are salsa and son from Cuba, mariachi from Mexico, ska from Jamaica, tango argentino, merengue and bachata from Santo Domingo, bomba and plena from Puerto Rico, samba, forro΄ and axe from Brasil, traditional songs of the Andes and afrolatino diamonds. The listener is called to participate in this trip of nostalgic melodies and rhythmical explosions.

The show also includes news from Latin America, information about dance events and concerts, retro reports, internet connection with radio stations of Latin America, the latest kinds of music (otra musica) and contests offering special gifts to the listeners.

Love your music. Saw you for the first time a couple of years ago in Clapham, and have talked some friends into coming along with me to Ronnie Scotts in a few weeks time. Really looking forward to seeing you play live again. But I'm intrigued as to your origin. I know from your bio that you have lived all over the place, but are you half colombian or something? Because it's rare that someone who isn't latino has such a huge interest in and talent for salsa music. But whatever, I think you're fab.

Attended your gig at the Brighton Dome on Sat 24th March. Had a blast and totally enjoyed the music, the vibrant energy on stage and even though the hall was packed to the rafters, still managed to "squeeze" in a couple of dances and join a rueda wheel! Loved the fact you had written a song especially for coming to Ireland! Wishing you all the best and know there is a troupe from Belfast going to see you at Birmingham at the start of April.

Hi Alex,
I run a Salsa class in Didbsury, Manchester (Salsa at the Didsbury, every Friday night if you're in Manchester, do join us!), and we took a group of 28 from the class this week to see The Wedding Dance in Bolton. Everybody loved it, and really appreciated the music.
I also went with a group to see you and your band last year in Buxton.
Not many believe me when I say that we have such a strong English salsero!

I have just found your website and I am so impressed, and happy to have found it I thought I would write!
I have been to Cuba for the last 2 years and whilst there am always completely taken in by the music and dance. I have been doing the salsa now since I first went there and absolutely love it.
The video you have on your website Alex is brilliant and I am now coming to see you next March. I can't wait!
I was meant to be in Cuba now for a 2 week holiday but was advised not to fly as I had a suspected heart attack in October. Not fair. Too young! Seem ok now though and seeing this website has really cheered me up!
I have ordered 3 cd's and am looking forward to receiving them. Keep up the good work and see you soon!

Alex, fantastic gig, I should have stayed to say hi but had to rush off. You are an even bigger monster on the keys live than on the cd! I love the middle section in Solar, I have it on repeat in the car, (bought the album a year ago in HMV on Oxford St)

Just discovered you via salsa venue, bought album 'R&B Latino'on amazon as soon as I got home!
Hasnt been off my sound system at home since, and it was played at a North London club tonight after introducing a girlfriend to the album... who happens to be one of the salsa teachers!
Purchase of all albums pending... and have a couple of your gigs earmarked!
Just blown away!
